SHAHID MAQBOOL
General Manager, IGC Operations
Mr. Shahid Maqbool graduated from University of Punjab, Lahore, Pakistan in 1990 with a degree in Chemical Engineering. Before joining Sipchem, he worked with Exxon Chemicals Pakistan, Petrokemya (SABIC), and Qatar Fuel Additives Company (QAFAC) as operations and process engineer. He joined Sipchem during the detail engineering phase of IMC as senior process engineer in July 2002. He played a leading role in engineering, construction, commissioning, performance test and commercial operation of the plant. In 2006 Shahid was promoted as Process Engineering Superintendent and was instrumental in establishing Sipchem’s Process Engineering Department. Shahid was a member of GACIC Task Force, which was established to study and recommend solutions for IDC chronic problems.
In 2007 Shahid was assigned as Operations Manager for IDC. He served IDC for three years in this capacity.
Since June 2010 Shahid is assigned as General Manager IGC.
